The pale moon was rising above yon green mountain, as the Dynamic Events team went on the road with the beautiful girls from the Rose of Tralee. As tradition would have it, the Roses spend the week preceeding the main event, travelling the length and breadth of the country sampling the best of what Ireland has to offer.
First up for the Roses was a gorgeous dinner on Monday night in the stunning Thomas Prior Hall at the Clayton Hotel in Ballsbridge. One of the main sponsors of the Rose of Tralee are The Dalata Hotel group who run the Clayton Hotel. Dalata asked us to provide a fun yet memorable event that would ensure the week got off to the best possible start.
It was decided that a post dinner Classic Gameshow would be a perfect fit. As soon as dinner had ended, the roses and distinguished guests were divided into teams. The Dynamic Events team & MC Bob Conway from Today FM took the roses and guests through ten rounds of pure laughter and fun as teams battled hard to try and win the first competition of the week. Various rounds of “Guess the Face”, “Where am I” and “Name that Song” saw participants in jovial mood, singing dancing and generally just having super craic! There were loads of spot prizes on the night so no one really left empty handed, but the flower of Scotland or should I say the Rose of Scotland and her table came out on top after beating off some stiff competition from the tables containing both the New York Rose and the Wicklow Rose.
On Wednesday, the Dynamic crew were once again on the road. This time the venue was the picturesque Lough Rynn Castle in Co. Leitrim. On this occasion the Roses were joined for a gala dinner by 300 guests from the local and wider business community. After dinner, Dynamic Events once again delivered the post meal entertainment. In mixing things up a little, our popular Disco Bingo would provide the laughs. Teams were divided up and participants were armed with props such as hats, wigs, costumes and air guitars. Disco Bingo is a game where teams are given “Bingo Cards” containing the names of songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The DJ plays songs at random from these era’s and participants mark the corresponding songs off their bingo cards if they have them. Once a team gets a full line, they win 1000 points. Throughout the game however, teams must sing, dance, do the conga and get involved in other fun games played to the music. After five minutes and a blast of the Elvis Classic “I’m all shook up” the room was buzzing with roses and guests’ alike standing up on their chairs, singing dancing and busting moves on their new air guitars!! Competition was very stiff, however the Longford Rose and her team mates came out on top, having won major bonus points for their “At the Carwash” dance! Truly epic stuff! As the Dynamic Events team left the hotel to a rapturous applause, many commented that it was “one of the best nights they had ever had”! Another lady asked “where she could find a local “disco” bingo hall! Perhaps this might be a new market!!
The roses now make their way to Tralee for the main event and the team at Dynamic Events would like to wish each and every one of the Roses the very best of luck in the competition and in the future! It was certainly a week that we will never forget!
