AWAS Commemorating 30 Years

The Europe Hotel 14th – 16th Oct 2015

Dynamic Events were asked to event manage a 3 day conference to commemorate AWAS 30th anniversary.

Day1: The event would commence in Dublin with transfers from the AWAS offices to Heuston Station where the guests would depart by private train to Killarney, on arrival in Killarney the guests were transferred by coach to The Europe Hotel. In advance of this Dynamic Events co-ordinated all ore event invitations and bagged & tagged luggage for a separate transfer to Killarney.

Day 2: Dynamic Events provided a movie making team building event. Teams were arranged in tables and briefed by the Dynamic Events Co-Ordinator. Each team was provided with a production camera and sound equipment.  Teams chose a theme and assigned roles to each other (camera, sound, director, actors, etc.). After a brainstorming session the teams began their shoot. Dynamic Events provided props, costumes and other associated equipment.

In the afternoon guests were free to avail of a selection of activities that Killarney has to offer. Cycling Tours, golf, Gap of Dunlop Tour, Killarney Waterbus, Archery & Falconry (provided by Dynamic Events on site)

The Main Event – The Celebratory Dinner. 

That evening after pre dinner drinks light entertainment the guests were seated in the ballroom for dinner. The MC for the night Bob Conway opened up proceedings and introduced the first 4 films (made earlier) which were played on a big screen ahead of the starters. 4 more movies were showed between starter and main course with the final 4 movies shown between mains and dessert. Speeches and Presentations followed dinner before culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over the lakes of Killarney.

Following the fireworks a live band performed in the ballroom till late.

Day 3

Following breakfast guests were coached back to the train station to catch the private train back to Heuston Station. From here 3 coaches awaited to return the guests back to the AWAS offices in Dublin.

A really big thank you for the fantastic effort with the 30th celebration. I think the event surpassed all expectations – It was perfect, from the moment we stepped on the bus outside the office (if not before, with the lunch!), to the time we stepped off the bus again on Friday.
