Apple’s Outdoor Sports Day: Turning Up the Heat for a Summer Team Event Done Right 

Meet The Client 

Meet Apple. Known globally for their iconic tech products and sleek innovation, Apple doesn’t just focus on hardware and software, they also care about the people behind the brand. When their Cork office team wanted to mark the summer with something fun, meaningful and outdoors, they reached out to us with one clear goal: 

Host a staff appreciation event that genuinely energised and celebrated their team.  

But here’s the reality: 

• 72 People were invited. If the event flopped, one person would carry the blame.  
• The Irish Weather is unpredictable. There was a real anxiety around planning an outdoor summer corporate event. 
• Time was tight. The event had to be fun, high energy, and easy to run, without creating more work for Apple’s internal team.  

Where Dynamic Events Stepped In 

We knew this wasn’t just about space hoppers and egg and spoon races. It was about creating an experience that brought people together with zero stress on Apple’s end.  

Here’s how we brought it to life: 

• Location: we set up right outside Apple’s Cork office, tons of space, perfect for an outdoor summer corporate event. 
• We created a full-blown back to school sports day packed with classic summer team building activities everyone would remember. 
• Structure  
• Morning 3 game zones, 12 teams rotating across events like Giant Pong, Gutter Ball and space Hoppers  
• Afternoon: A lively track finale with Egg & Spoon race and Giant Skis, where the top teams battled it out while the rest cheered from the sidelines 
• Teams  
• 12 fully prepared teams of 5, colours and captains (everything from the “purple Ninjas” to the “spARtans” 
• Extras 
• A podium, medals, sweets and most importantly energy 
• Security and parking was all handled 
• Kabin Crew performance during the break added a real festive feel 
• Our crew arrived the night before to prep and ensure a flawless event 

The Transformation  

Before: Nervousness, high stakes, weather worries and a lot eyes on one organiser  

After: Laughter, cheering, team bonding, sunshine and even a crowd forming for the grand finale. 

This wasn’t just a company summer party. It was a full circle moment of employee engagement, team bnding and showing genuine care for a hardworking group of people.
