AWAS 30 Years Anniversary

To mark its 30th anniversary, AWAS brought guests to Killarney for a three-day company anniversary event, with Dynamic Events coordinating the travel, team building, activities and evening celebrations.

The programme included a private train journey from Dublin, Movie Making team building, activities around Killarney and a celebratory dinner at The Europe Hotel, followed by a fireworks display over the lakes.

Day 1: Dublin to Killarney

The event began in Dublin, with guests transferred from the AWAS offices to Heuston Station before travelling by private train to Killarney.

On arrival, coaches were waiting to take the group to The Europe Hotel.

Dynamic Events coordinated the pre-event invitations and transport arrangements. Guests' luggage was also bagged and tagged in Dublin before being transported separately to Killarney.

Day 2: Movie Making and Killarney Activities

The second day began with a Movie Making team-building activity.

Guests were divided into teams and briefed by a Dynamic Events coordinator. Each team was given a production camera and sound equipment before choosing a theme and assigning roles including camera operator, sound, director and actors.

After a brainstorming session, the teams began filming. Dynamic Events provided the props, costumes and other equipment needed for the activity.

Later that afternoon, guests could choose from a range of activities around Killarney, including cycling tours, golf, a Gap of Dunloe tour and the Killarney Waterbus.

Dynamic Events also provided archery and falconry activities on site.

The Main Event: Celebratory Dinner

That evening, guests gathered for pre-dinner drinks and light entertainment before taking their seats in the ballroom.

MC Bob Conway opened the evening and introduced the films the teams had created earlier that day. Four films were shown before the starter, another four between the starter and main course, and the final four between the main course and dessert.

Speeches and presentations followed dinner before guests headed outside for a fireworks display over the lakes of Killarney.

After the fireworks, everyone returned to the ballroom, where a live band performed until late.

Day 3: Back to Dublin

After breakfast, coaches brought guests back to Killarney train station for their private train journey to Heuston Station.

Three coaches were waiting when the group arrived in Dublin to complete the final transfer back to the AWAS offices.
