How Premium Power Turned A Hybrid Challenge Into A Team Success

Premium Power wanted an afternoon where Dublin based staff could bond with colleagues dialling in from across the world. The result was a seamless hybrid escape game that had everyone laughing, competing, and working together.

At Dynamic Events we love creating moments where every employee feels part of the action, no matter where they are. Dublin-based consultancy Premium Power asked us for an activity that could bring together their people in the room with colleagues joining remotely from abroad.

They wanted something interactive, something that encouraged problem solving, and something that felt inclusive.

The question was whether one activity could truly connect staff split between a hotel meeting room and home offices across the world.

The Challenge

Premium Power had 25 staff gathered at the Grand Hotel Malahide, with another 10 dialing in from different countries. The brief was clear. The activity needed to feel like one shared experience.

The challenge was ensuring that in-person and remote colleagues were equally involved from start to finish. No one could feel like a spectator.

Our Solution

We recommended Escape the Office Art Heist, one of our most popular hybrid team building games. It offered the right mix of problem solving and collaboration, with plenty of energy to keep people engaged.

Here is how we made it work:

  • A full tech check before the event to keep everything running smoothly
  • Remote staff joined via Google Hangouts and moved into breakout rooms
  • In-person participants were split into five competitive teams in the hotel meeting room
  • A live host guided the entire session from our Wicklow office
  • Everyone came back together in the main Hangouts room for the finale

The Experience

From the event briefing to the final score announcement, the hybrid format ran smoothly. Remote players and in person teams solved the same puzzles at the same time. Everyone felt part of the same game.

The atmosphere was lively and competitive. The energy built as the challenges unfolded, and the finale brought the whole group together in one shared moment. There were no glitches or awkward pauses, just clear focus and plenty of laughs.

The Impact

The feedback spoke for itself. Everyone had a great time. Remote colleagues felt as involved as those in the room, and the sense of connection carried well beyond the session.

For Premium Power, the event proved that a hybrid activity can be more than a compromise. It can be a true shared experience.

Key Takeaway

When hybrid events are designed with care they feel natural. With the right activity and experienced event managers, staff can collaborate, compete, and celebrate together even when they are thousands of miles apart.
