Meet Jazz Pharma. They’re a global biopharmaceutical company focused on creating innovative therapies for people with serious diseases. Every summer Jazz Pharma takes time to recognise their phone with a meaningful staff appreciation event. It’s more than a break, it’s a thank you. A moment to step away from their desks of the day to enjoy something different, together. But after a couple of years of memorable gatherings they face a familiar challenge: 

“What haven’t we done yet?” 

The Challenge  

Jazz Pharma’s annual company summer party is something the team looks forward to, but that creates pressure. Each event must feel fresh, fun and different from the last. This time, they were heading to Hodson Bay hotel in Athlone. A beautiful location, but the question remained: 

• How do you come up with new corporate team event ideas when you’ve already done so much? 
• How do you make sure it works for a big group with limited time? 
• And how do you prepare for an Irish summer, rain and all, without turning into a logistical nightmare? 

How Did We Do?  

This is where we came in. At Dynamic Events, we’ve run thousands of summer team building activities, so we know the drill: it needs to feel effortless for the organiser, exciting for the team, and adaptable to the unpredictability of Irish weather. 

Here’s how we made it happen:  

✅ We get creative with the brief: Building a fully themed “Around the World” treasure hunt that gave the group a chance to explore, connect and compete in teams.  ✅ We added a second layer of fun: a high energy Challenger event outdoors, bringing out the team's competitive spirit and bonding them through shared challenges.  ✅ We planned for everything: including a full wet weather backup plan with our indoor Wind Farm activity, so there’d be no stress on the day. 

The Incredible Transformation 

Before: The team were eager to reconnect and do something different, but the pressure to “top last year” was real. There was concern about the weather and how to make it work for everyone  

After: The sun was shining. The group were laughing and collaborating they enjoyed every second of it. The treasure hunt brought out teamwork, problem-solving and fun, after a short break, they jumped into the Challenger, working together in a whole new way.  

It wasn’t just a summer party. It was real employee engagement. It was team bonding that didn’t feel forced. And it reminded everyone of the power of connection.
