Winners Circle

Brief

We were approached by the client to create a game that would explore and celebrate all the different cultures of their workforce in a fun and interactive manner. The event would be run on Webex as that is the client's platform of choice. All participants would be Eastern Europeans where English would not be their first language, therefore the game must be multilingual to be inclusive of all participants.

Solution

We created a new version of our Around the World called Winners Circle. The Winners Circle challenge involved tasks and challenges on 12 different European countries.

To make the game more inclusive each country involved a challenge from the CEO/MD of Deutsche Telekom from that country. The CEO/MD's delivered the challenge through video.

To allow for the multilingual aspect we built 12 different games each one with a different language. We would also host 12 different Webex meetings to account for the different countries - with at least one event manager in each Webex call.

The briefing video in each meeting room was delivered in English with the subtitles being in that language of that particular group. For example in the Greek Webex the video was in English with Greek subtitles.

The wrap up where the winners would be announced and the photos/videos shown back would be help on a main meeting with all participants post event.

Result

The event was a massive success with approximately 200 participants taking part across the different countries. All participants got to play in teams and explore the world of their colleagues through fun and interactive challenges. The game consisted of a broad mix of collaboration tasks like photo & video challenges and observational and trivia style questions.

At the end of the event we welcomed everyone back into the main conference room to do the results and then show back some of the best photos and videos from the day which was the perfect way to wrap up the event.
