Agents of Change International Youth Summit
We broadcast an interactive webinar to an audience of 5,000 people and created a bespoke app based challenge as part of Concern's Agents of Change International Online Youth Summit.
Agents of Change in an annual event that takes place in Croke Park, hosted by Concern Worldwide. Every year, Concern invites Secondary School students from across the country to take part in projects throughout the academic year, demonstrating how they can be ‘Agents of Change’ in our everyday life. The event is a celebration of those that take part throughout the year, giving students the opportunity to present their projects, feel empowered and share their passion for everyone's ability to make change in the world, however big or small.
This year (2021), however, Concern were faced with the ongoing challenges of Covid-19 restrictions and needed some help and guidance to bring Agents of Change to a virtual audience.
We were delighted to be able to assist them over the past 10 months, from building their very own App which help engaged students from all over Ireland (and overseas) to learn about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other important areas such as hunger, poverty, gender equality, conflict and climate change. We also worked with the youth hosts in putting together an International Youth summit Webinar for thousands of attendees to take part in.
On the day, we broadcast an interactive webinar to an audience of 5,000 people and encouraged attendees to:
Be inspired! - By meeting activist from Ireland and around the World to learn about how their talents work for Social Justice
Think! And Learn about Social Justice
Create! By watching the audience’s collective ideas come to life while our live artist illustrated feedback throughout the webinar.
We had some fantastic guest speakers, interviews, dance demos and most importantly, lots of conversation around the act of Change! All hosted by our fantastic youth hosts.
By bringing Agents of Change online, we were able to help Concern reach a much larger audience and engage with people both in Ireland and around the world
Overall, it was a fantastically successful virtual event that we were delighted to be involved with to share the message; No change is ever too small.
“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito” – Dalai Lama
