Meet Alexion, a leading global biopharmaceutical company with a dedicated team working tirelessly to change lives through innovation. Like many forward-thinking companies, Alexion wanted to show appreciation for the employees in a way that went beyond the usual corporate event.  

They didn’t just want another staff day out, they wanted to create a Family Day that brought everyone together, where employees could relax, have fun and share the experience with their loved ones.  

But it wasn't easy...  

• Finding the right balance between professional recognition and family fun was a challenge  
• Coordinating activities that would engage toddlers, teens and adults felt daunting.  
• And most importantly, they wanted their people to feel appreciated without the added stress if finding childcare or juggling logistics.  

How We Made It Happen

We became a part of their team  

We didn't just take a brief, we listened to what Alexion really wanted this day to mean, together, we designed a Halloween Family Day that celebrated both the company’s people and the families who support them.  

We Created An Experience  

Held at the beautiful Athlone Springs Hotel, the venue was transformed into a Halloween wonderland complete with decor games and creative touches that brought the spirit of the season to life.  

• Delicious food, good music and relaxed surrounding that created the perfect atmosphere for reconnecting outside of work.  
• A glowing Spooky Tunnel greeted guests as they entered complete with up-lighters and themed decor  
• Kids ran between pumpkin props, carnival games and an inflatable axe throwing zone.  
• For those who needed a breather a nearby sensory room provided a quiet comfortable space with soft seating.  

As the finishing touch, we added a splash of colour with some face painting, which was a huge hit among the children and adults... of course.  

We Brought Dreams To Life  

From setup to wrap up, everything ran smoothly. Our on-site team managed logistics, entertainment and flow so Alexion’s staff could simply enjoy the day. The result? A relaxed vibrant event where employees and families mingled effortlessly, no work talk, no stress just honest connections.  

The Noticeable Change 

Before: 

There was excitement but also a sense of worry, would it be too hectic? Would everyone feel included? Could the day really appeal to all ages.  

After: 

The atmosphere was amazing. Kids in costumes running and laughing between games. Colleagues chatted over coffee watching their kids play. Every corner of the venue was buzzing with energy and togetherness  

The change was like night and day.  

Beyond the Numbers: Real Impact  

Yes, the numbers tell a great story: 

• 128 attendees in total, including 55 children.  
• 100% positive feedback from participants. 
• Smiles that lasted long after the event finished. 

But the real impact was in the little moments: 

• Parents helping children line up the perfect shot for Axe Throwing. 
• A group of colleagues laughing. 
• Families taking photos together at the end of the in a relaxed and happy setting.
