Hilti Ireland has a long tradition of bringing its people together each summer. For more than 30 years these summer parties have been a highlight on the company calendar.

For 2025 the brief was clear. The organiser wanted to move away from a full day of presentations and create a new kind of corporate summer party. The goal was to give 145 employees a programme that felt fresh, inclusive and engaging. It needed the right balance of team building, wellness and entertainment, delivered through expert event management.

As the client explained: “We’ve done the day of presentations before. This year needs to feel different, something engaging where everyone feels included.”

Our Event Management Approach

Our role was to design and manage a complete programme that balanced business updates with team building and entertainment. We proposed The Johnstown Estate as a venue that could host both indoor and outdoor activities, and created a two day agenda tailored to Hilti’s needs.

Day One:

• Arrival lunch followed by a short business update
• Team Olympics in the afternoon
• Evening BBQ with Disco Bingo, a band, a DJ and additional evening entertainment

Day Two:

• Morning wellness sessions with Pilates, spin and health checks
• Space Survival Treasure Hunt and** Rocket Challenge** before a closing lunch

Throughout, our event management team coordinated suppliers, timed transitions, and ensured every element ran smoothly. The aim was to take pressure off the Hilti organisers so they could focus on their people.

From Presentations to Participation

The shift from a presentation heavy format to an experience led summer party was clear from the start. Employees who expected a day indoors instead spent two days competing in challenges, joining wellness sessions and celebrating together.

The event delivered:

• 145 employees fully engaged across two days
• 100 percent participation in team and wellness sessions
• Feedback calling it the best Hilti summer party in more than 30 years

Real Impact Beyond the Numbers

This corporate summer party showed how team building and professional event management can transform the atmosphere of a company gathering. People were not just attending. They were active, involved and connecting across departments.
