Casino Night in Conjunction with Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane
How do you launch a new corporate events space and give clients a reason to experience it? See how Dynamic Events helped Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane turn its opening night into an interactive casino-themed event.
Dynamic Events worked with Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane & Conference Centre to organise a casino-themed event marking the grand opening of the hotel’s new meetings and events centre.
Created for key clients, the evening combined networking, live entertainment, presentations and Casino Night, while giving the hotel an opportunity to showcase its new event spaces in use.
Starting the Evening
Guests arrived for a networking and drinks reception with canapés before the main programme began.
Entertainment ran throughout the reception. Magician Joe Daly performed magic and mind reading, while ROBOT-TED, an eight-foot dancing robot, interacted with guests and provided plenty of photo opportunities.
The New Brass Kings provided live music during the reception.
Presentations in the Grand Canal Room
Following the reception, guests moved into the Grand Canal Room for speeches and presentations.
This gave Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane an opportunity to introduce the new meetings and events centre and show key clients how the venue could be used for corporate and leisure events.
The hotel’s event facilities included three breakout rooms and an entertainment lobby, providing different spaces for the various parts of the evening.
Turning the Event Space into a Casino
The main interactive element of the evening was Casino Night.
Dynamic Events transformed the space with full-size professional gaming tables, cards, chips and casino props.
Specially trained croupiers managed the tables and explained the games to guests who were new to casino gaming. Guests could move between tables throughout the evening, making the casino a natural fit alongside the networking element of the event.
Bringing the Launch Together
The opening moved through several different formats over the course of the evening, from the initial drinks reception and live entertainment to presentations in the Grand Canal Room and the Casino Night.
Working with Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane & Conference Centre, Dynamic Events organised the different entertainment elements around the launch and the venue itself.
Rather than introducing the new meetings and events centre through presentations alone, the evening allowed key clients to see the spaces being used for a live corporate event.
For Dynamic Events, the event is a good example of how Event Management can combine entertainment, interactive activities and a venue’s own programme within one corporate event.
