Glasson Lakehouse

A Team Day on the Shores of Lough Ree

Glasson Lakehouse sits on a 225-acre resort overlooking Lough Ree, around 15 minutes from Athlone. For corporate groups, that gives you a useful mix of meeting and event space, accommodation and plenty of room to add team building to the day.

Dynamic Events can run activities indoors at the hotel or make use of the grounds outside. If you're planning team building in Westmeath, we can help you choose an activity that suits your group, schedule and the amount of time you want to spend on it.

What Could Your Team Do at Glasson Lakehouse?

If the Irish weather has other ideas, there are plenty of activities we can deliver indoors.

Code Breaker gets teams racing to solve puzzles, crack codes and unlock the safe.

For something collaborative, The Big Picture divides the group into smaller teams to create individual sections of an artwork. The full picture only becomes clear when every section is brought together.

SolarBuddy Hour of Power takes a different approach. Teams assemble solar-powered lights that will go to children living in energy poverty, combining a practical team activity with a worthwhile outcome.

225 Acres Gives Us Plenty to Work With

Glasson Lakehouse really comes into its own when you take the activity outside.

Our Digital Treasure Hunt uses GPS technology to move teams around the location as they complete questions, challenges and photo and video tasks.

Back to School Sports Day turns familiar school sports into a team competition, while Challenger mixes different challenges together so teams have to adapt as the event progresses.

The resort itself also offers its own land and lake activities, including golf, kayaking, cycling and boat tours, giving companies further options when planning a longer away day or overnight stay.

Staying for More Than the Activity?

Glasson Lakehouse is set up for corporate away days as well as standalone team-building sessions. Its conference and event facilities can accommodate up to 300 delegates, and the hotel has 70 bedrooms. There are also spaces for meetings, networking, dining and corporate gatherings.

That means your team-building activity can sit within a wider conference, company away day or overnight programme without moving everyone to another location.

If you need support beyond the activity itself, our event management team can also help plan and deliver the wider corporate event.
