Looking for a fun team building activity with a bit of competition? Our Digital Treasure Hunt gets teams out and about, exploring their location, taking on challenges and battling for the top spot. Then it’s back for the showback, plenty of laughs and the winner reveal.
What is a Digital Treasure Hunt?
A Digital Treasure Hunt gets teams out and about, exploring their location and competing for points along the way. Each team gets an iPad with a live GPS map showing hotspots around the area. Teams walk to a hotspot to unlock challenges, from trivia and local questions to photos and videos.
The hotspots are set, but the route is up to each team. Teams decide which way to go and which hotspots to tackle first, so each team can take a different route through the game. And with the live leaderboard showing how the competition is doing, there’s always another team to catch.
Once time is up, everyone comes back together for the showback. We put some of the best photos and videos on screen, reveal the final scores and announce the winners.

How Our Digital Treasure Hunt Works
From the first briefing to the final scores, we look after the event so your team can get on with the game. Here’s how it works.
We Build Your Route
Tell us where you want to start and finish and we’ll build the game around your location. Hotspots are placed around the area, with local challenges added where relevant.
Teams Get Ready to Go
Our event manager briefs everyone on the game, scoring and finish time before splitting the group into teams. Each team gets an iPad, picks a team name, takes the obligatory team selfie and they’re off.
Find Hotspots & Take on Challenges
Teams use the live GPS map to choose their way through the hotspots. Reach one and a challenge unlocks, with everything from trivia and local questions to photo and video challenges. Different rounds suit different people, so there’s plenty for everyone to get involved in.
Climb the Leaderboard
Every challenge earns points and teams can see how they’re doing on the live leaderboard. Trivia is scored automatically, while our event manager scores photos and videos as they come in. With 20 minutes to go, we hide the leaderboard. From there, nobody knows who has won.
Back for the Showback
Teams return at the finish time and the showback is ready to go. We put some of the best photos and videos up on screen, reveal the final scores and announce the winners.
