The Trading Table
A high-energy indoor team building activity where teams run rival smoothie businesses. Buy fruit, negotiate trades, complete recipes and react as market prices change.
How The Trading Table Works
Each team takes control of its own smoothie business, starting by completing challenges in our app to build up its cash reserves. Then the buying begins.
There’s a catch. Your team can only buy two types of fruit, and those fruits can’t make any of the smoothies on your recipe card. To start making money, you’ll need to find the teams with the ingredients you need and negotiate a deal.
As world events send fruit prices up and down, the value of every deal can change. Buy, trade and sell well, and you’ll have more cash to reinvest as the game goes on.

What Happens During The Trading Table?
The action unfolds over four seasons, with teams building cash, buying fruit, negotiating trades and selling smoothies. As the game progresses, new opportunities and market changes keep everyone thinking.
Build Your Cash Reserves
Start with 10 minutes of challenges on your team iPad. Every correct answer adds to your cash reserves, giving you more to spend when buying opens.
Buy Your Fruit
Each team can buy two types of fruit through the app. Your order goes straight to our bank, where you collect your ingredients. The catch is that your two fruits can't complete any smoothie recipe.
Trade With Rival Teams
Now you need the other teams. One trader from each team heads to the Trading Table to negotiate for the fruit they need, while teammates work out which deals make sense. Don't be surprised if a few unofficial trades happen elsewhere too.
Make, Sell, Reinvest
Complete a recipe and sell the smoothie back to the bank for cash. Sell quickly and you can put that money straight back to work, buying more fruit and making more smoothies.
React to the Market
World events can change fruit prices as the game unfolds, while later seasons introduce new ways to build cash and higher-value ingredients. What looked like a great deal earlier might not look so good now.
Why Choose The Trading Table for Your Team?
The Trading Table works well when you want something competitive and genuinely interactive, without asking people to be sporty, perform in front of the room or have any specialist knowledge. It’s easy to understand, quick to get into and designed for a wide mix of corporate groups.
No specialist knowledge needed You don’t need a head for finance or any trading experience. We explain everything at the start, and the smoothie concept makes the game easy to pick up.
Different personalities have a role Some people naturally take the lead in negotiations. Others spot opportunities, keep an eye on the numbers or help decide the next move. Teams tend to find their own way of working.
Competitive without being physical You still get the buzz of trying to beat the other teams, but nobody needs to run around, get changed or worry about fitness levels.
Easy to fit into your day At 90 minutes, it can sit neatly within a company offsite, conference, team day or alongside an evening event without taking over the whole schedule.
Fully managed by our team We brief the group, provide the technology and game materials, run the bank and manage the activity from start to finish. Your organiser gets to take part rather than run it.
